1200 BC - CANNABIS IN EGYPTIAN RELIGION AND CULTURE
the mummy of Pharaoh Ramesses II was uncovered and examined back in
1881, traces of cannabis in the remains was the last thing anyone was
expecting, but it was there. Since then, a lot of the uncovered
mummies have shown similar traces of the herb in their systems,
confirming the suspicion that cannabis was indeed a part of the
regular culture in ancient Egypt.
